Postdoctoral researcher in eco-evolutionary microbiome and thermal biology at Lund University, Sweden. Research field: Biological sciences. If you're at the postdoc stage, this belongs on your shortlist. Requirements differ by year and track, so confirm the current criteria on the official source linked below. This is partial funding — it reduces your costs but won't cover everything. Map out the gap early: tuition minus award, plus living costs, and line up a plan for the remainder before you apply. Mark 2026-10-30 on your calendar now. Strong applications are rarely written in a weekend — start gathering documents a month ahead and draft essays two weeks out. Use the official application channel linked on this page. Be wary of anyone charging "processing fees" — real opportunities don't work that way. Before applying, do three things. First, compare your profile against every listed requirement and address gaps honestly in your cover letter — "I haven't used X, but I learned Y in two weeks on my last project" beats silence. Second, check the organization's website and recent news so your application references something current. Third, line up references who can speak to relevant work. After applying, note the deadline and follow up once if you hear nothing in 2–3 weeks. Keep applying elsewhere in parallel — never pause your search for one application. Document checklist: attested transcripts, degree certificates, valid passport (at least 6 months beyond the program start), an updated CV (2 pages max, reverse chronological), and two recommendation letters from people who know your work well. Scan everything at 300 DPI in PDF — blurry phone photos get your file deprioritized. Name files clearly (YourName_Transcript.pdf), not "scan001.pdf".
