The CAS-ANSO Scholarship funds international Masters and PhD students at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and CAS research institutes. Covers full tuition waiver, monthly stipend (PhD ~6,000-7,000 CNY/month, Masters ~3,000 CNY/month), free accommodation, health insurance, travel subsidy. No application fee. The 2027 call has not been officially announced yet — based on previous years, applications typically open October/November with deadline around January/February. Requirements: non-Chinese citizen, under 30 (Masters) / under 35 (PhD), English or Chinese proficiency. Important: apply through EITHER USTC or UCAS, not both.
